| सत्यं वद धर्मं चर। | Speak the truth; tread righteousness. |
| सत्यमेव जयते। | Only truth wins. |
| धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः। | The righteousness saves the one who treads it. |
| मुण्डे मुण्डे मतिर्भिन्ना तुण्डे तुण्डे सरस्वति। | As are the number of mouths, so are the talks. |
| काकः कृष्णः पिकः कृष्णः को भेद पिककाकयोः। वसन्तकाले समप्राप्ते काकः काकः पिकः पिकः।। | The crow is black and so is the cuckoo, then what is the difference between the two. When the spring season approaches, it is easily decided that the crow is a crow and a cuckoo is a cuckoo–owing to the singing quality of the cuckoo. |
| अन्नं न निन्द्यात्। | Don’t condemn food. |
| कालः करोति कार्याणि। | Time does all the works. |
| लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु। | May everybody everywhere be happy. |
| कर्मणि एव अधिकारः ते। | You have right over work only. |
